Order of Viesturs medal recognizes exemplary service as bilateral affairs officer to Latvia
The President of the Republic of Latvia (left) presented Col. J. Andrew Roberts, commander of the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, with the Order of Viesturs medal, Sept. 23, 2016, at the Michigan National Guard headquarters facility in Lansing. The Order of Viesturs is presented only by the President and was given to Roberts to recognize his efforts toward strengthening the country and promoting joint learning between military forces.
