Chief Master Sergeant Jeremy Wohlford is the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the commander of the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC), Alpena, Michigan. Chief Master Sergeant Wohlford the most senior enlisted service member, by position, for the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center and the principal military advisor to the Alpena CRTC Commander on all matters involving utilization, health of the force, and development for enlisted personnel. CMSgt Wohlford is responsible for ensuring that Air National Guardsmen personnel are trained to be ready, relevant, and reliable for any tasking, to include Aerospace Expeditionary Force (AEF) and Domestic Operations (DOMOPS) missions.
Chief Master Sergeant Wohlford entered the Air Force in January 1998. He graduated from the fire protection specialist course at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, in September, 1998. He spent the next seven years in the fire protection career field at Battle Creek Air National Guard Base until he became a Civil Engineering Material Management Craftsman at the CRTC. He served as the Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of Material Management for the next nine years until becoming a first sergeant in 2013. CMSgt Wohlford spent the next 3 years as the principle advisor to the Base commander for enlisted personnel issues. Finally, Chief Wohlford served at the Senior Enlisted Advisor of the Michigan National Guard- Joint Staff until receiving his current position. CMSgt Wohlford served 5 years as the Alpena CRTC Fire Chief until converting to a civilian Title V Fire Chief at the Alpena CRTC Fire Department which he still resides. Chief Wohlford also volunteers as a Fire Fighter / Emergency Medical Technician with the Grand Lake Township Fire Department serving over nineteen years as a volunteer Fire Fighter with his local community.
