Michian Guardsman is first U.S. Armed Forces member to receive Latvian Award of Honor

U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Thomas Frutos stands with Latvian Maj. Vilnis Metlans following Frutos’ award of the Latvian National Armed Forces Air Force Commander Award of Honor, Grade 3, in Lielvarde, Latvia, April 30, 2015. Frutos is assigned to the 217th Air Operations Group, Michigan Air National Guard, based at Battle Creek, Michigan, and is the first U.S. Armed Forces member to receive the Latvian award.
